Role Summary The Tax Accountant will support the U.S. tax function through accurate sales tax reporting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and audit support. This role is ideal for a detail-driven tax professional with strong experience in multi-state indirect tax, general ledger accounting, and ERP systems.
Reporting to the Tax Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance across nearly all U.S. jurisdictions, maintaining accurate tax documentation, and supporting continuous process improvements. This position offers direct exposure to senior finance leadership and the opportunity to work within a multinational environment. Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute full-cycle sales tax compliance, including preparing, filing, and remitting returns across multiple state and local jurisdictions.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper collection and documentation of sales tax data.
Maintain and validate sales tax exemption certificates through OneSource Certificate Manager.
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Support general ledger activities and maintain documentation for internal and external audit requirements.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on tax-related activity and financial insight.
Prepare schedules and respond to inquiries during federal, state, and internal audits.
Utilize SAP to research transactions, validate tax postings, and support accounting accuracy.
Apply knowledge of multi-state sales tax rules, requirements, and systems to ensure full compliance.
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax and accounting workflows.
OneSource Indirect Tax or related tax technology expertise.
Stable work history (company is sensitive to frequent short-term moves).
