ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Intersect Group is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst for our direct healthcare client, where you will focus on analyzing healthcare financial data and building reports that provide insights into the operational and financial health of the business. This is a technical and very data-driven position that will work closely with Business Users, Billing, Finance, and Technology teams. The optimal candidate has a background in financial data analysis related to healthcare claims management.
JOB DUTIES:
Perform extensive analysis of Healthcare Claims / Revenue Cycle Management data
Define metrics, build dashboards and provide insights that enable better decision-making
Meet with stakeholders to understand operational processes, dependencies, and impact
Understand business processes and map them to underlying data elements
Identify gaps in data and processes and provide recommendations to optimize
Understand data needed by Finance, Accounting and Billing teams and gather reporting requirements
Work closely with offshore/onshore developers and users and coordinate on deliverables
Take ownership of quality, consistency, and lifecycle management across all reports and metrics, and help consolidate where applicable
Automate and streamline delivery of reports and alerts
Document reports, definitions, and walk users through user acceptance testing (UAT)
Work across different business units to identify data dependencies and set up necessary controls
Build and maintain strong relationship between different business units and collaborate
Assist with other analysis, development, QA as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
5+ years analyzing data and writing queries/stored procedures in SQL Server
3+ years building reports/dashboards using a reporting tool with minimum 1-year using PowerBI
2+ years working with financial data, preferably associated with Healthcare Claims
1+ years building reports in Excel
Ability to quickly grasp and articulate dependencies between processes and data
Strong ability to analyze data and pay attention to detail
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Takes initiative and can manage and complete multiple concurrent projects in a timely manner
PREFERRED
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience
Experience leading projects
Experience working with blended delivery teams (global)
