Reporting to a Senior Manager, this role focuses on managing revenue processes rather than people and serves as a key subject matter expert for revenue related accounting matters. The position offers strong visibility, collaboration across departments, and future growth opportunities within revenue, technical accounting, controllership, or broader finance functions.

Key Responsibilities
• Review, assess, and approve complex customer contracts to identify performance obligations, pricing considerations, and appropriate revenue treatment
• Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition for software, subscriptions, multielement arrangements, and bundled offerings in accordance with ASC 606
• Prepare clear, well supported accounting memos documenting conclusions and relevant accounting guidance
• Serve as the primary revenue accounting subject matter expert for assigned business units or regions
• Partner closely with Sales, Legal, Operations, and Finance to ensure contracts are structured and documented in compliance with accounting policies
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and providing complete supporting documentation
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirements related to revenue
• Monitor and manage standalone selling price methodologies, including annual updates and ongoing compliance
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control across revenue operations
• Contribute functional expertise to system enhancements, ERP initiatives, and revenue automation tools
• Provide training and education to nonfinancial stakeholders on revenue recognition concepts and business impacts

Key Requirements
• Five or more years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting, or controllership within a complex or global organization
• Strong applied knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 with hands on experience evaluating complex revenue arrangements
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred, particularly audit or advisory work involving revenue recognition
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos and documenting conclusions clearly and effectively
• Familiarity with ERP systems and revenue recognition automation tools, with exposure to system implementations a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner across functions
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Proactive, collaborative approach and comfort engaging with stakeholders across departments
