Role: Payroll Specialist
Duration: Contract | 6+ Months
Setting: Remote/Hybrid (Local Candidates Required)
Pay: $25–$27/hour DOE
Hours: Full-Time | 7 AM – 4 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Join a collaborative payroll team supporting domestic payroll operations for a large organization. This role is responsible for processing payroll, reconciling payroll data, preparing reports, and supporting year-end tax filings while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for salaried and hourly employees
Reconcile earnings, deductions, garnishments, and payroll taxes
Prepare monthly and quarterly payroll reports
Support Workers’ Compensation and other payroll-related reporting
Assist with payroll inquiries, research, audits, and issue resolution
Coordinate payroll changes with internal and external stakeholders
Support year-end payroll processing and W-2 tax filings
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
4+ years of payroll, tax, and accounting experience
Experience with payroll reconciliations and reporting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred:
SAP and/or ADP experience
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills
10-key proficiency
Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
