Role Summary The Billing and Collections Accountant will support revenue operations by managing billing accuracy, collections activity, and account reconciliation across integrated systems. This role plays a vital part in maintaining clean financial data, supporting month-end close, and ensuring timely cash application.
You will work closely with Accounting, Sales, and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies, monitor receivables, and strengthen billing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build depth in billing, collections, and system-based accounting workflows. Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate billing records and reporting within Salesforce systems
Generate invoices and manage daily billing activity using Salesforce and NetSuite
Apply cash receipts, perform account reconciliations, and support month-end close processes
Monitor accounts receivable balances and execute proactive collections outreach
Research and resolve billing discrepancies in partnership with Sales and Operations teams
Ensure customer accounts are accurate, complete, and current across all systems
Support documentation and reporting requirements related to billing and collections
Contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Two to three years of business experience with exposure to billing or collections
Strong understanding of accounting principles related to revenue, billing, and cash application
Hands-on experience using Salesforce in a billing or finance context
Ability to reconcile accounts and interpret billing transactions accurately
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
Attention to detail with a high standard for accuracy
Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Preferred Skills
Experience using NetSuite
Background in technology-enabled or SaaS-style billing environments
Interest in continuing to grow within accounting or revenue operations
