DATA ANALYST / REPORT DEVELOPER

The Intersect Group is seeking an Analyst/Report Developer for our direct healthcare client, where you will build Power BI reports to support the analysis of healthcare claims, collections, clinical and billing data. In this role, you will collaborate with senior analysts, developers and stakeholders to deliver actionable reports and visualizations that drive performance improvement and strategic decision-making.

The optimal candidate will have a few years of experience in this area, providing solutions that met user requirements, while ensuring consistency and quality.

Duties include:
  • Gather reporting requirements, document and get approval
  • Analyze data, and build and maintain Power BI reports & dashboards to meet business needs
  • Identify data quality issues, gaps, or inconsistencies and recommend/implement solutions
  • Automate and streamline processes for timely delivery
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root cause and fix gaps 
  • Monitor and support data integration and reporting job/processes
  • Document metrics, definitions, and follow change control processes
  • Support user acceptance testing and stakeholder training for new reports or models
  • Follow established practices and conventions and suggest improvements
  • Collaborate with offshore and onshore developers and data teams
  • Coordinate cross-functional data analysis projects and maintain high-quality standards for deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ years building Power BI reports, including configuring data sources, setting up semantic models
  • 2+years coding in DAX and PowerQuery
  • 1+ years analyzing data and writing queries in SQL Server
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically about data and take ownership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver with minimal supervision
  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related experience
  • Working with Healthcare data - Clinical or Revenue Cycle
  • Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Lakehouse, Excel Macros and VBA, SSRS or Power BI Report Builder
  • Experience working with offshore team
